My Trail Bike
Code name: "Flying [wild berry blast] Pop Tart.
This is my 2016 Trek Remedy 27.5, the bike I spend 75% of my time on. I use it for XC (read "enduro") rides, dual slalom, and for most of my skill videos. My main sponsor Danny's Cycles supplies me with the bike, and my other sponsors Deity Components, and Cane Creek supply me with cockpit and suspension components. For what it's worth, I'm not sponsored by Trek, however I do think they make great bikes and Danny's Cycles is a Trek dealer. Overall I enjoy this bike quite a bit, with that being said the stock rear shock is the biggest drawback. I need adjustability, and because the Remedy uses a proprietary Trunnion shock mount, it's not possible to install an aftermarket shock without custom adapters. This is where being sponsored by Cane Creek comes in handy. Without being over dramatic, the Double Barrel Air completely changed the feel of this bike for the better. If you asked me a few years ago if I'd be running carbon bars, I would have said no way. But after completely thrashing my Deity Mohawk bars last year without an issues I'm not scared to recommend these to anybody. They feel great, looks great, and hold up to the abuse.
